Jurisdictions reported 67,442 persons taking the bar examination in 2025, with an overall pass rate of 63%. The overall pass rate for the 19,645 February 2025 exam takers reported by jurisdictions was 47%; the overall pass rate for the 47,797 July 2025 exam takers reported by jurisdictions was 69%. In 2025, 4% of examinees were graduates of non-ABA-approved law schools, with a pass rate of 33%; 15% of examinees were graduates of law schools outside the USA, with a pass rate of 35%.
