Jurisdictions reported 68,198 persons taking the bar examination in 2018, with an overall pass rate of 54%. The overall pass rate for the 21,822 February 2018 exam takers reported by jurisdictions was 41%; the overall pass rate for the 46,376 July 2018 exam takers reported by jurisdictions was 60%. In 2018, 4% of examinees were graduates of non-ABA-approved law schools, with a pass rate of 14%; 11% of examinees were graduates of law schools outside the USA, with a pass rate of 30%.
