On December 4–7, 2025, NCBE held committee meetings in Washington DC. NCBE’s policy committees meet regularly to evaluate current policies and practices and to recommend changes and improvements. The following policy committees met:

The volunteer members of NCBE’s policy committees consist of practicing attorneys, judges, justices, law professors, and bar admissions staff from jurisdictions and law schools across the country. They are appointed each August and serve through the following August.

At a group gathering on Friday evening, NCBE President Judith A. ­Gundersen gave introductory remarks; each committee chair then gave updates on their respective committee’s efforts and charges for the current term.
