NCBE has come a long way from its start in 1931. In the words of its first chairman, “Its aim is the raising of standards both as to knowledge of the law and fitness of character of those who are to become future members of the bar of this country.” And while times have changed since then, NCBE still works with this principle in mind.
Spread across 13 departments, all here at NCBE do vital work to serve jurisdictions, examinees, and the legal community at large. NCBE thanks its staff for all they do in helping build a competent, ethical, and diverse legal profession.
