Jurisdictions reported 83,987 persons taking the bar examination in 2013, with an overall pass rate of 68%. The overall pass rate for the 24,397 February 2013 exam takers reported by jurisdictions was 58%; the overall pass rate for the 59,590 July 2013 exam takers reported by jurisdictions was 72%. In 2013, 4% of examinees were graduates of non-ABA-approved law schools, with a pass rate of 26%; 7% of examinees were graduates of law schools outside the USA, with a pass rate of 32%.
