*The minimum UBE passing score in Alabama was raised from 256 to 260 effective with the July 2014 exam administration, at which time Alabama replaced its Alabama Essay Examination with the Course on Alabama Law.
† The 272 minimum UBE passing score in Idaho is effective with the February 2017 exam administration, replacing a score of 280.
‡ The 266 minimum UBE passing score in Montana became effective on June 7, 2016, replacing a score of 270. The 266 score was made retroactive to the date the UBE was adopted in July 2013.
**New York, Vermont, and the District of Columbia first administered the UBE in July 2016. New York will begin accepting UBE scores in October 2016. Data regarding scores transferred for the July 2016 exam administration are not yet available.
