Jurisdictions reported 62,951 persons taking the bar examination in 2022, with an overall pass rate of 59%. The overall pass rate for the 17,080 February 2022 exam takers reported by jurisdictions was 45%; the overall pass rate for the 45,871 July 2022 exam takers reported by jurisdictions was 64%. In 2022, 4% of examinees were graduates of non-ABA-approved law schools, with a pass rate of 20%; 12% of examinees were graduates of law schools outside the USA, with a pass rate of 36%.
