Sophie S. Martin has been named Director of Communications, Education, and Outreach at the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE). The former Executive Director of the New Mexico Board of Bar Examiners, Martin’s background also includes leadership in educational, marketing, and communications positions at the University of New Mexico (UNM), where she has taught both undergraduate and graduate-level marketing courses and currently teaches in the school’s women’s leadership program. Martin holds both an MBA and a JD from UNM and is barred in New Mexico.

NCBE, headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, is a not-for-profit corporation founded in 1931. NCBE promotes fairness, integrity, and best practices in admission to the legal profession for the benefit and protection of the public, in pursuit of its vision of a competent, ethical, and diverse legal profession.
